Stadium Support Services Announce Brand New Partnership with British Association For Sustainable Sport (BASIS).
 

Dermot Reid, Head of Sustainability, explains the significance of the partnership with BASIS and underscores it as an integral aspect of the business sustainability objectives.

In the run up to joining Stadium Support Services, I sat down with Managing Director, Scott Hudson and we spent a lot of time mapping out what the next phase of our sustainability plan would look like. One of the main priorities we had on that whiteboard was a partnership with the British Association For Sustainable Sport (BASIS).  We are incredibly proud to have realised that ambition this month.

Stadium Support Services recognise the importance of improving sustainable practices already embedded into our operations and we will continuously look for opportunities to build upon our knowledge, enabling us to better support our clients. Therefore, partnering with an organisation who aims to “educate, engage and empower sport in the UK to become world-leading in sustainability” made complete sense.

We firmly believe that all FM companies should be playing a pivotal role in making sustainable solutions easily accessible for clients. As subject matter experts within the facilities field, our clients are able to rely on us to push the envelope when it comes to carbon reduction options, in the same way they approach us to provide cost/time efficient solutions.

Partnering with BASIS is another tool to help us achieve this goal and further highlights how Stadium Support Services can help you accomplish your green ambitions.

By reducing our environmental footprint and minimising that of our clients we know we can make a difference. It’s that very reason that we chose to partner with BASIS.

Members and partners of BASIS are leading the charge in sustainable sport, showing what can be achieved and using the advantage of its network to share ideas. We are extremely proud to be joining such a forward thinking and environmentally conscious line-up.

I’ll be attending the annual BASIS conference in Manchester on the 29/30th April, they have some great guest speakers that I’m really excited to hear from. Come and say hello if you see me.
