Stadium Support Services Expands Offering with Stadia Seat Restoration Partner

Stadium Support Services today announces it has agreed a commercial partnership with IronHide Seating Solutions, a US based market leader in the restoration of plastic colour pigments for stadia seats.

The solution will enable stadiums in the UK to restore their seating back to their former glory without bearing the costs associated with seat replacement and the negative environmental impact this causes.

The exclusive colour coating developed by IronHide is formulated and designed to specifically adhere to stadium seats, is UV resistant and will expand and contract with the plastic as it is heated by the sun.

Stadium Support Services cleans up with Farnborough International Airshow contract

Twickenham based facilities management & cleaning company, Stadium Support Services, has won a highly competitive tender process to become Farnborough International Airshow’s principle cleaning partner until 2022.

The contract will see the company deliver over 80,000 hours of cleaning services across the 770-acre site on behalf of the 1,500 exhibitors set to take part in this iconic aviation event, which attracts up to 200,000 people each year.

The family-owned business, with clients including Twickenham Stadium, The Kia Oval and the Metropolitan Police, has been carrying out cleaning and facilities management services for the past 15 years throughout the UK. Part of the approach to ensuring a seamless clean will be the utilisation of cordless technology such as battery-powered backpack vacuums that negate the need for long extension leads enabling faster cleaning responses with minimal disruption to the public.

Farnborough International Airshow takes place between Monday 16th and Sunday 22nd July at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre in north east Hampshire. As well as a five-day trade show, at the weekend, the general public will gain a rare insight into leading-edge technology and innovation whilst enjoying an exciting 5-hour flying display.

Stadium Support Services Becomes a Member of SSIP

Stadium Support Services announces successful completion of the Avetta Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) audit.  Operations Director Scott Hudson commented “A huge issue for many contractors like us is the need to be assessed by multiple health & safety schemes at various sites.  However, now that we have passed our health & safety assessment via the Avetta SSIP scheme, it showcases our commitment and competence towards health and safety and will really help our business to expand in the coming years whilst ensuring our staff and others are able to operate in a safe working environment.”

SSIP is not an assessment scheme; it is an umbrella body for multiple assessment schemes with the common objective of reducing duplication, red tape and costs for both clients and suppliers.

Stadium Support Services Awarded ISO Accreditation

Stadium Support Services, the facilities management company, announced they have been awarded with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation

Upon receiving the award, Managing Director Kevin Hudson said “I am proud of the team for their hard work in obtaining this accreditation. ISO 9001 has really helped to streamline our business by putting a management system in place focused on providing world class service to our clients.”  He later went on to say that “plans are afoot to obtain SSIP accreditation later in the year.”

The company also holds ISO 14001 accreditation as part of their commitment to the environment and ongoing sustainability.

Stadium Support Services, which has prestigious clients such as the RFU, CBRE and Cushman Wakefield are gearing up for a busy 2017. Commercial Director Joseph Noble said “part of the reason for gaining these various accreditations recently is to enable us to streamline our processes and become scalable as we look to expand in the coming years.”
