Fire Door Remedial Works
The Fire Safety Team at Stadium Support Services were instructed to carry out fire door remedial works to ensure all doors met current fire safety regulations. The project involved inspecting, repairing and adjusting fire doors to address defects such as damaged leaves, faulty seals, excessive gaps, non-compliant glazing and defective ironmongery.
The Challenge
Several doors had deteriorated since the previous review, and the new building layout made access and movement across the site challenging.
Works needed to be completed efficiently while maintaining safety and minimising disruption for building occupants.
-
Replacement and installation of intumescent and smoke seals
-
Adjustment and re-hanging of doors to correct clearances
-
Repair and replacement of damaged door edges, frames and closers
-
Installation of compliant signage and hardware
-
Verification of certification and compliant installation of all components
-
Repainting of frames and French polish applied to specialist colour doors
- Final compliance re-inspection and client handover
The Solution
“Stadium Support Services provided a highly professional service throughout our fire door remedial project. Their team demonstrated strong technical knowledge, communicated clearly and carried out the works efficiently with minimal disruption. Their attention to detail and commitment to compliance has given us full confidence that our fire doors now meet all required safety standards.”
