QPR FC, Loftus Road Stadium

Asbestos Cement Roof Replacement & New Metal Profile Roofing Installation

As Official Projects Partner to Worcestershire County Cricket Club, Stadium Support Services was engaged to transform an underutilised heritage scoreboard building into a new club shop. Located on a site affected by annual flooding, the project required a solution that protected the building’s character while creating a practical and resilient retail space that could be adapted and reinstated each season.

The Challenge

Scope of Work

  • Construction of a scaffold loading bay providing roof-level access, as well as safe loading and unloading of roofing materials
  • Removal of the existing roof and safe disposal of hazardous asbestos waste
  • Air monitoring, waste management and PPE controls throughout the asbestos removal process
  • Installation of trackway to mitigate damage to the playing surface
  • Installation of safety netting and debris netting using MEWPs
  • Installation of guardrails to the front and rear roof edges
  • Supply and installation of a new roof consisting of box-profiled steel sheeting

The Solution
