Stadium Support Services and Verixo launch intelligent asset management service
Stadium Support Services has partnered with Verixo to launch a new nationwide asset verification and lifecycle management service, giving workplaces, stadia and venues a complete, accurate and live view of their furniture, fixtures and equipment.
The service combines Stadium Support Services’ facilities management expertise with Verixo’s intelligent technology. Every asset is photographed, condition-graded, barcoded and linked to its location within a live digital register.
This gives organisations the evidence they need to make informed decisions about maintenance, refurbishment, relocation, reuse and replacement while helping to reduce costs, extend asset life and support sustainability targets.
Tackling a costly blind spot
While buildings, plant and IT equipment are routinely managed as valuable assets, furniture, fixtures and equipment can often be overlooked despite representing one of the largest asset groups within an organisation.
Around 300 tonnes of office furniture is sent to landfill every working day in the UK, with more than half of discarded furniture estimated to remain suitable for reuse or refurbishment.
A typical office chair contains around 35kg of embodied carbon, while reusing furniture can reduce lifecycle carbon emissions by 80–90% compared with buying new.
Without accurate information, organisations risk making unnecessary purchases, disposing of assets prematurely and missing opportunities to repair, relocate or reuse existing furniture and equipment.
By replacing disconnected spreadsheets with verified, live data, the new service helps organisations understand what they already own, extend the life of their assets and plan future investment more effectively. It also provides measurable evidence to support sustainability and ESG reporting.
One live view of every asset
The Verixo platform creates a comprehensive digital asset register, with each item photographed, condition-graded, barcoded, location-tagged and tracked throughout its lifecycle.
Clients can access their information through a dedicated online portal and self-service mobile app, giving teams continued visibility of their assets long after the initial survey has been completed.
The technology can reduce survey time by more than 40%, with audit-ready reports available within 48 hours of completion.
Rather than treating an asset survey as a one-off exercise, Stadium Support Services and Verixo provide an ongoing service designed to keep the register accurate and useful as assets are purchased, moved, repaired or removed.
Turning surplus assets into social value
When an asset is no longer needed, replacement does not have to mean disposal.
Through Verixo’s exclusive UK ethical clearance partner, Waste to Wonder Worldwide, suitable furniture and equipment can be redirected to charities, schools and communities where it can continue to deliver value.
This helps divert usable assets from landfill while creating measurable environmental and social impact.
Paula Gibson, Communications Manager at Waste to Wonder Worldwide, said:
“Our exclusive partnership with Verixo represents an exciting step forward in helping organisations embed sustainability throughout the asset lifecycle. By integrating ethical clearance directly into the platform, we can help organisations turn surplus assets into opportunities that benefit charities, schools and communities in the UK and around the world.”
“For too long, asset surveys have been treated as a precursor to relocation, clearance or replacement. Our priority is different: helping clients understand what they already have and get the greatest possible value from it.”
“If an asset is in good condition and has years of useful life remaining, the data will show that. Better information leads to better decisions, lower costs and more sustainable estates.”
“Most organisations know exactly where their major plant and IT equipment is, but often have very little visibility of the thousands of furniture and workplace assets spread across their estate.”
“Verixo turns that fragmented information into one live, trusted register. By combining AI with verified, item-level data, we give organisations the information they need to reduce costs, manage assets more effectively and plan future investment with confidence.”
The service is available immediately to commercial workplaces, offices, stadia and venues throughout the UK.
