Post-Construction Façade Cleaning & Remedial Works
Stadium Support Services was appointed by RG Construction to deliver a post-construction clean and associated remedial works at Avon Point, a residential development comprising four interconnected tower blocks of varying heights in Bristol.
The project required specialist rope access expertise to safely access and clean external façades while coordinating with ongoing site activities.
The Challenge
A site survey identified that no integrated abseil system was in place across the development, requiring Stadium Support Services to design and deploy mobile weighted anchor systems to facilitate access.
Compounding the challenge, the building lifts were out of operation for four weeks, meaning all equipment and materials had to be manually handled to height.
Operatives were required to climb up to 12 storeys repeatedly throughout the project, demanding careful management of fatigue, welfare and safety.
As works progressed, the scope expanded to include façade snagging, mastic application, repointing and condition surveys of architectural elements.

The Solution
A structured cleaning programme removed construction debris and staining from glazing, window sills and architectural metalwork. During the process, additional façade defects were identified, reported and rectified.
The rope access solution enabled works to be completed safely and efficiently without disrupting other trades on site.
